Lawrie & Symington – Lanark Agricultural Centre. Lanark

When Lawrie & Symington sold their original Lanark Mart site in 2004 they looked to appoint a design and build company that understood the nature of their business and the unique requirements an agriculture centre has. Algo delivered a design and build solution that both respected the iconic features of the original Mart and embraced the new beginning lying before them.

The new state of the art premises was to take Lanark onto a different level of agri centre. Incorporating restaurants, commercial letting areas, two sales rings, a farm shop, offices and a large car park the build is an excellent representation of what Algo do really well when challenged.

Such was the success of Lanark, Lawrie & Symington appointed Algo again in 2009 to extend their Forfar Market.

Features: The importance of continuity at Lanark was prevalent. The hexagonal peaked roofs of the original building were a landmark in the town. Algo carefully reproduced these at the new centre to bring a piece of heritage into the new era.

“A first class professional service provided and attention to workmanship and detail, second to none.”
