Peter Alexander
Non-Executive Director

Peter provides comprehensive expertise to Algo’s management team, monitoring and challenging directors to help develop and implement sound business strategies.

Peter established Algo (Blairgowrie) Ltd. 25 years ago, in an over supplied market, on the conviction that the quality of his product and his workmanship would speak for themselves. With his own reputation staked at the forefront of any project, Peter directed the business with integrity and discipline steadily growing Algo into one of Scotland’s construction industry success stories.

Peter started farming the home farm at Mains of Mause, near Blairgowrie, Perthshire in 1967. Applying his business acumen to land management, the farm enterprise is now home to a 1000 Limousin cow herd. He is highly respected in the farming industry, is a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Societies, Chair of Lantra’s Learner of the Year Panel, Vice Chair of the Scottish Beef Cattle Association and a previous Vice President of the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland.

To this day, Peter’s approach to business sustainability remains the same ‘’do all you do with integrity and quality; keep it simple, use lean processes and you will succeed’’
