Algo were tasked with the construction of a new indoor and outdoor play barn with party rooms, restaurant, retail and staff areas.
The party rooms and playbarn were renovations of an existing steading and an existing steel framed portal. This was a challenge joining the two buildings together with new composite roof cladding lead valleys and a traditional slate roof. The horizontal laid wall cladding meets the traditional stone finish of the steading with the two materials complimenting each other.
Kids play barn is on split levels with curved retaining walls and ramps, finished with soft matting and artificial grass to provide a safe play area for kids.
The new restaurant is a steel framed portal which again joined onto the existing steel portal, challenge was matching the roof alignment and pitch of the 2 roofs.
The timber kit element of the build houses the customer entrance , retail and staff areas, single ply membrane roof construction with aluminium windows and doors gives a modern feel. Finished with larch rain screen cladding, offering a contemporary feel to this part of the project and a real wow factor for the customers.
