Project Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Head Office team based in Perth. This role requires a time-served construction professional with a thorough understanding of all project phases, and particular strengths in client engagement, commercial acumen and contractual management

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion, in the Commercial and Industrial sectors
  • Act as the primary client interface, managing relationships professionally and confidently throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead and manage the design development from Tender through to Construction Drawings and final as-built information for the O&M manual
  • Lead and manage contractual discussions and negotiations pre-contract, during delivery, and at final account stage
  • Prepare and regularly update the construction programme
  • Maintain strong commercial control of projects, including variations, valuations, sub-contractor management, cost awareness, and programme delivery
  • Identify and manage project risks, ensuring proactive resolution of issues
  • Provide clear, concise reporting and feedback to Senior Directors and Management Teams
  • Represent the business externally in a professional and credible manner
  • Support and mentor project teams, fostering a positive and accountable working environment

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Senior Project Manager role within Construction or Engineering.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track record of successfully managing project finances and contractual risk
  • Working knowledge of SBCC and NEC Contracts
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project software
  • Demonstrable experience leading contractual discussions and negotiations with clients and stakeholders
  • Confident, articulate and comfortable working at senior level both internally and externally
  • Strong leadership capability
  • Ability to balance commercial focus with collaborative working practices

Desirable

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar)

  • Experience delivering a range of Commercial and Industrial project types
